Miel Interiors is a full-service, Oakland-based, interior design firm that specializes in alchemizing the essence of you into an enchanting, bespoke residential or commercial space. Our design approach is broken down into 4 phases.

Phase one: Consultation + Meet & Greet
Getting to know each other ! During this step we look to define your project goals and identify the details that are important to you. We look to widen the lens on your home and project so that we may begin to outline the full scope of your project.

( Additional fees may apply if outside of Oakland area. Design work will not be completed during this consultation time. )

Phase Two: Design Presentation + Design Development
During this design phase, we use the preliminary information collected and craft and enchanting design within our client’s budget and translate the findings from our consultation into a full design. During this process, which lasts several weeks, Miel Interiors will showcase a digital presentation including design boards along with all other curated materials and finishes both hard and soft and all other custom findings.
Your design presentation will include:

Loose 2D & 3D, computer rendered concepts for selected rooms. These are meant to provide an idea of scale, spatial relationships, proportion, and finishes.

Phase Three: Purchasing + Project Management
Here we begin the purchasing and renovation phase of the project, and the concepts begin to take form and turn into reality. During this step your furnishings are being ordered, manufactured, and delivered over the coming weeks or months. For renovations this is the time where construction takes place and design specifications happen. We handle all of the vendor communications, construction management, shipments and delivery details so that you can sit back and enjoy the process.

Phase Four: Installation + Styling
After the larger aspects of your projects are completed and installed the final phase of the design begins and the final touches are integrated. Pillows, rugs, lighting , etc. all come into play during this time and your atmospheric dream space is manifested.
